Formed under the aegis of the Foundation for Life Sciences and Business Management, a non-profitable organization, Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB), Affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, is the culmination of the lifelong dream of several internationally renowned academicians and business leaders. A dream to help build India’s burgeoning Life Sciences & Business Management Industry by developing a world class institute, it aims at developing leaders in the said areas by providing adequate interaction with experts and exposure to R&D institutes and industrial setups.
SILB has been set up in the serene & scenic environs of Solan, the ‘Mushroom City of India’, the ‘Fastest Growing Hill Town in Asia’. Solan, located mid-way between Kalka and Shimla (55 km from Shimla and 75 km from Chandigarh), with pleasant summers (the temperature rarely rises above 30˚C), occasional snowfall, average annual rainfall of 1200 mm & an altitude of 1600 m, is one of the district headquarters of HP. The city is an educational hub of the State and hosts a number of prestigious universities, national institutes. It can be reached from Delhi (about 310 km) by train/road via Chandigarh/Kalka. Chandigarh & Shimla are the nearest airports.
